The Pelican Staffing Solutions Food Safety/Handler Program partners with the Health Department of Cities to provide food handling training and Certification.

Food workers are encouraged to take the food Handler Training course, or mandated depending on different cities/state/country policy. The food handler trainings are valuable for anyone preparing food in a commercial kitchen or working in a food business. This includes kitchen food handlers, servers and other staff (and anyone who would like to work in a commercial food business).

Participants will learn basic food safety principles including how to keep foods safe, the temperature danger zone, hot and cold holding, avoiding cross-contamination, personal hygiene, and cleaning and sanitizing. They will also learn how to protect consumers from foodborne illness and protect the integrity, reputation, and revenue of their store and business. The training uses short informative and engaging animated lessons and videos.

Successful completion of the program assures food managers, regulators and trainers that the certificate holder has completed a basic course in food safety. The First Principles course and assessment is based on substantial review and analysis of the current state of knowledge, regulations, and requirements in field of food safety.

Professional Food Manager:

Our Food Safety Manager Certification Program assesses the knowledge and skills of food managers.

Such training will include good manufacturing processes as it relates to food processing and HACCP processes and principles.
